The present work on “STRUCTURAL, ELECTRICAL, MAGNETIC AND 57Fe MOSSBAUER STUDY OF DyFeO3 BASED MAGNETO-ELECTRIC MATERIALS” is carriedout with a focused intension to develop a special class of multiferroics/magneto-electic materials with large and technologically advantageous magneto-electric coupling at room temperature, which is the big challenge before the scientific community. The coupling between magnetic and ferroelectric orders at room temperature is very weak in the materials studied so far by large number of research groups, which is a major drawback from the application point of view. In some of the multiferroic/magneto-electric materials the transition temperatures of magnetic and ferroelectric ordering are either much lower or far higher than room temperature. Scientific community is putting continuous effort to find the materials with large amount of magneto-electric coupling and transition temperatures of ferroelectric and magnetic ordering much closer to room temperature.
