The single was released exclusively in the UK on October 4, 2010. One month before the actual single release, a music video for the song, directed by Zak Forrest and Chad Liebenguth (ZFCL), was released and premiered on September 3, 2010 on the official Deftones website and YouTube. The music video was directed by Zak Forrest and Chad Liebenguth. The video focuses on two young teenage girls floating and swimming around under water whilst kissing, touching, flirting, etc. with one another. Bright rainbow like colors also flash under the water at certain points in the video. The "Sextape" video is the first Deftones video where the band do not make an appearance."
