Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Fiji is an Open Source image processing package based on ImageJ. Its main purpose is to provide a distribution of ImageJ with many plugins bundled. As Ubuntu, Fiji has an integrated updating system to stay up-to-date. A further goal of Fiji is to provide users with a coherent menu structure as well as extensive documentation in the form of detailed algorithm descriptions and tutorials, and avoid having to install multiple components from different sources.
