The Saab 36 (also known as Projekt 1300) was a supersonic bomber planned by Saab during the 1950s. The aircraft was supposed to be able to carry an 800 kg free falling nuclear weapon, but when the Swedish nuclear weapon program was stopped in the 1960s, so did the plans for the plane. The Saab 36 was intended to be fitted with delta wings and this idea was also used on the Saab 35 Draken fighter. The engine that was planned to be used was a version of the British Bristol Olympus turbojet, the same engine that powered the Avro Vulcan jet bomber.
