The first complete biography of Savva Morozov (1852-1905), a famous Russian businessman, a textile magnate. The patron of Moscow Artistic Theater (MKhAT) (founded by K. S. Stanislavskii and V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko) and of Russian artists such as V. Serov and M. Vrubel', he also helped Russian revolutionaries. The causes of his death are not conclusively established; the authors present an original version of his suicide.
