Verner Panton - The Collected Works

Hardcover. Condición: New. English and Japanese Edition; Accompanying associated retrospectives at the Vitra Design Museum and Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, this monograph presents the oeuvre of one of Europe's pivotal modernist designers. Inspired by Panton's own aesthetic, the book groups his output into categories such as architecture, furniture and colour theory, and defines his running themes; utopian experiments with materials and lifestyles, a simple geometric language, and a systematic, modular approach to design and production. The evolution of Panton's chair designs is illustrated at length, shedding light on the creation of some of the world's most effective and renowned examples of modern furniture.
