Helmut Reinmüller Oberst i.R., was a police officer in Vienna and in the Austrian Federal Criminal Office for 44 years, including 24 years as a senior criminal officer. In 1992, he was a specialist of the criminal case The Grave Robbery of Mary Vetsera and published a non-fiction book about it in 2019. Stimulated by his first book, the author began to be interested in the actual drama, the death of Crown Prince Rudolf and Mary Vetsera in the hunting lodge Mayerling in 1889 and worked the case as a cold case with his criminalist point of view - once again. The basics of his research served him exclusively documents and documents still available today. In Buch Reinmüller now presents his investigation result. Important people who were involved in the case are presented and the facts chronologically presented day after day. Important locations described, time path diagrams shown, important events and processes reconstructed and underlined with numerous illustrations. Finally, the author goes into the situation of Mary's mother Baroness Helene Vetsera, who fell into the highest disgrace, had to suffer numerous fate strokes and died completely impoverished in Vienna.
