WebObjects and Project Wonder are the ideal Java frameworks for creating mid- and large scale server applications. Initially WebObjects was geared towards web applications (hence its name). Thanks to its flexible and mature architecture WebObjects allows almost unlimited extension. Project Wonder, or short Wonder, is a set of sophisticated Java frameworks building on and extending WebObjects way beyond the web. An integral part of WebObjects/Wonder is the Enterprise Objects Framework EOF. It goes far beyond a simple object-relational mapper or mere SQL generator.
