In Bezug auf David Reeds uvre diesen großen Themenkomplex auszuschließen, würde jedoch der Qualität seiner Werke und auch seinem Ansinnen nicht gerecht werden. Die Anmut und Vollkommenheit seiner kompositorisch wie farblich so präzise errungenen Gemälde ist überwältigend, und es bleibt ein anhaltendes Phänomen, dass Schönheit kaum ergründbar scheint.
