Tangible präsentiert grafisch inspirierte Gestaltung von Objekten und Räumen sowie die Inszenierung von Raum als Mittel des Grafikdesigns. Viele Gestalter aus den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen haben die zweite Dimension verlassen und sich intensiv mit Raum, Material und physischen Produkten beschäftigt. Tangible stellt die Arbeiten von jungen Designern vor, die mit Formen und Größen spielen und mit den Stilmitteln der grafischen Gestaltung räumliche Erlebnisse inszenieren. Sie nutzen die verschiedensten alltäglichen und fantastischen Gegenstände und Materialien für die eigentliche Gestaltung. Dann erst dient auch der Computer ebenso wie der Fotoapparat als Werkzeug, diese Arbeiten zu dokumentieren. Tangible dokumentiert die zunehmende Bedeutung von grafischer Raumgestaltung, die auch daran abzulesen ist, dass Künstler, Grafikdesigner, Typografen und Illustratoren immer häufiger eingeladen werden, ihre Ideen bei der Gestaltung von Ladenlokalen, Messeständen, Restaurants und Hotels einzubringen. Die Grenzen zwischen Grafik, Illustration, Interior Design und Architektur verschwimmen. Gleichzeitig greift die Werbung inszenierte Bilder auf und erzählt mit ihnen kleine Geschichten. Die einzelnen Kapitel in Tangible zeigen Grafikdesigns, Objekte, Produkte, Porträts und Street Art, die aus dieser Herangehensweise entstanden sind. Tangible ist die Weiterentwicklung von Tactile (2007).
