Processes of Reflexive Design differentiates between various facets and intersections of the genesis, transformation, and interaction of design and research in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design. How do systematisation work and creative processes interact? How are specific forms of knowledge generated, evaluated, and transformed? A broad spectrum of the development, description, and testing of different types of processes and process characteristics in the dynamics of design and research is shown to explore these questions. Features essays from both theory and practice, including contributions from, amongst others, Giorgia Aquilar, Tom Avermaete, Katja Benfer and Cyrus Zahiri, Isabel Finkenberger, Ole W. Acerca del autor
Margitta Buchert is professor in Architecture and Art 20th/21st Centuries at the Institute of Architectural History and Theory in the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape Sciences at Leibniz Universitat Hannover. The contents focus on architectural theory, design theory, design principles as well as wingspans of modernity. The primary fields of research are 'reflexive design', 'urban architecture', as well as the aesthetics and contextuality of architecture, art, cities, and nature.
