In the past ten years of industry experience specific to data warehousing projects, the researcher has witnessed more failures than successes in the implementation process. Although many enterprises have been successful in implementing data warehouse projects, the rate of failure is exacerbated in the financial services industry. As a result, building new data warehousing projects in financial institutions warrants a new look at how this process is managed. Instead of focusing on the technical design of data warehousing projects, the researcher focused on key variables that will guarantee intended results. A new model was developed as a result of this study targeted at solving specific problems in implementing planned organizational change.

Biografía del autor

Dr Ezigbo is the president and CEO of Ivantis Group, Inc. a management and information consulting firm based in Maryland. Prior to forming Ivantis, he spent over 17 years managing software development and integration projects in both private and public organizations. His areas of expertise include Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and SOA.
