Water, nature’s gift to mankind is not unlimited and free forever. World water resources are fast diminishing. It is also having its effect on the agricultural product yield. Water being a limited resource, its efficient use to increase the crop yield is basic to the survival of the ever increasing population of the world. The book mainly deals with optimizing all the related parameters like water flow, energy input and the cost of the development of the equipments to be used for irrigation to obtain good quality and quantity of agricultural yield.
