Sinopsis
The term coordination is omnipresent and people usually have a very good understand what it actually stands for. It is difficult to explain explicitly, though. We recognise, for instance, if something is organised or coordinated in an ineffective way by observing the negative effects such as spending unnecessary extra resources - such as time or money. If we manage to tackle problems by focusing on coordination we might be able to resolve problems in a more efficient way. But to do so we need to understand the concept of coordination better and make it explicit in our comprehension. This, in fact, is what we would like to accomplish with this book.

Biografía del autor
Manfred Bortenschlager is post-doc researcher at the Mobile and Web-based Information Systems Group of Salzburg Research. His research interests are focused on coordination models and mechanisms for pervasive information systems applied to telecooperative applications. He is involved in several (applied) research projects.
