Acerca del autor
H. Walter Lack es profesor en la Universidad Libre de Berlín y anteriormente fue director del Jardín Botánico y el Museo Botánico de Berlín-Dahlem. Destacado experto en la historia de la botánica, sus investigaciones se centran en la transferencia de plantas útiles y ornamentales a otras partes del mundo desde una perspectiva cultural e histórica. Mit seinem bemerkenswerten Geschick, das ihn in die Lage versetzte, die kompliziertesten Motive aus der Natur wiederzugeben, gilt Pierre-Joseph Redouté weithin als bester Maler und Stecher botanischer Abbildungen.
