This volume constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 21st International Workshop on Cellular Automata and Discrete Complex Systems, AUTOMATA 2015, held in Turku, Finland, in June 2015. Charlotte y Peter Fiell son dos autoridades en historia, teoría y crítica del diseño y han escrito más de sesenta libros sobre la materia, muchos de los cuales se han convertido en éxitos de ventas.
