This book analyze the temporal dynamics of cropping pattern in Kerala state of India.The analysis is based on secondary data collected for eight major crops grown in Kerala for the past 30 years.The study analyze the trend in area, production and productivity of major crops using exponential trend and application of Herfindahl index to study crop diversification.Shifting of area under food crops to non -food crops and non-agricultural purpose has been reported.The subject matter has been presented in simple language and is supported with latest data and research findings.The book includes more than 10 tables and figures.It is an excellent book for undergraduate as well as post graduate students of Agriculture.It is a good reference material for Researchers, Policy makers and Government Departments.
