The poor power quality causes many problems for affected loads such as instabilities, malfunctions short life time etc.Power line disturbances are mainly caused due to voltage sag, voltage swell,outage and harmonics. These disturbances need recognition and classification. A wavelet based decomposition of the disturbances using norm entropy and pattern recognition by Probabilistic Neural Network has been described.

Biografía del autor

Sunipa Sen Gupta is an M.Tech in Controls & Instrumentation from Netaji Subash Engineering College Kolkata. After doing her B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from JSS Academy of Technical Education NOIDA she did her P.G.D.B.M in Marketing and served as a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at BBDNITM Lucknow.
