Microsoft and SAP are leading manufacturers for software products. Therefore different integration scenarios between these technologies occur in our daily business. The first part of the book describes the relevant technologies and systems as well as the basics of interoperability like web services, protocols and description languages. The interface techniques SAP Process Integration, Microsoft BizTalk, Web Service and Remote Function calls are compared based on criteria like Performance, Stability, Security, Complexity and Costs. This is followed by the description of problems which have been faced in real projects and gives hints how to avoid or solve them. The book finally highlights the communication technique between Microsoft .NET applications and SAP NetWeaver systems that suites the best under the given conditions.

Biografía del autor
Thomas Schmitt founded in the year 2003 a small company which develops applications with Delphi and .NET (http://www.ts- tune.de). In 2007 he graduated the Fachhochschule Nürnberg with a degree in Computer Science and started working at evosoft GmbH as a Software Architect and consultant for integrating scenarios between .NET and SAP.
