Janina Karolewski is research associate at the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 950 «Manuscript Cultures in Asia, Africa and Europe» at the University of Hamburg.

Robert Langer is head of the junior research group «Contemporary Islamic Cultures» at the University of Bayreuth (Religious Studies) and associate professor for Islamic Studies at Heidelberg University.
