This translation of 'Principles of Grammar Theory' is an attempt to facilitate access to the work of W.G. Admoni who must be regarded as one of the most prolific and creative Russian «Germanisten». Unlike most of his other work, it is strictly theoretical and can be interpreted as the linguistic foundation of the afore-mentioned. The author's concern is not the adaptation and application of one particular method, but rather the adequate analysis of language as a whole.
