This book presents an analytical tool for examining the design of small electromagnetic devices such as machines, encoders, magnetic strip lines and other devices. The geometry and magnetic circuit analyses for these devices is based on a differential equation, called the magnetic transmission line equation, derived from Ampere's Law. It is similar to the electric transmission line equation. The analysis includes both uniform and non-uniform geometrics, including non-uniformities resulting from manufacturing errors, and leads to a new class of designs for miniature machines and other devices.
