JUCS is the electronic journal that covers all areas of computer science. All accepted papers are subject to a strict review process and an international editorial board of computer scientists. Distributed via the Internet, it supports all the search and navigation tools of the advanced online systems. This second annual print and CD-ROM archive edition contains all articles published online in JUCS volume 2, 1996. It allows access without logging onto the Internet. Uniform citation of papers is ensured by identical page numbering and layout of all versions. JUCS is based on HyperWave, a networked hypermedia information system compatible with other systems.
