This is the second volume in a series of English translations of analytical methods for the determination of occupational toxicants in workplace air. The 16 standardized methods were selected on the basis of the current significance of the compounds dealt with. They meet exceptionally high standards of reliability and reproducibility. Considerable emphasis is placed on sample collection methods and on analytical quality control: every method is checked by at least one examiner. A chapter of adsorbents used for air monitoring purposes provides detailed information on the presently available and used materials.
