9783330344358: A Comparison of Direct & Indirect Sinus Augmentation: Short Study

Sinopsis

Dental implant is now the gold standard of therapy for missing teeth. But unlike regular prosthetic crown bridges, implant treatment is technique sensitive, especially challenging when supporting alveolar bone has resorbed. In maxilla challenge is even greater due to approximation to maxillary sinus. Further sinus pneumatization increases with age and after teeth extractions. Sinus augmentation technique is important in this regard where it provides us the opportunity to place implants in severely resorbed maxillary arch.
