Heavy dependence on farming is the problem of rural farmers and can't take off from poverty only by agriculture production. By assessing the role of social capital in livelihood strategies improves the economic condition of rural people. Entrepreneurship and micro-enterprise provide subsidiary income to the rural people which contribute in improvement of living standard. Participation in skills training programme strengthen the rural people by engagement on other income generation enterprise.

Biografía del autor
Kerobim Lakra is Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and has more than 2 years of experience in research in the field of agricultural economics. He is currently working as a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
