In the last years, a remarkable progress in the numerical treatment of boundary de ment methods (BEM) has been obtained in Germany. This is, in particular, a res~I1t of a Schwerpunktverfahren supported by the DFG. Many aspects of the BEM are not ouly analysed but also implemented.
