They have decided not to publish a traditional catalogue of their collection. Although this book includes a complete inventory of the works, the collection is presented through a comic by Jean-Marc Ballée, which figures hominoid artworks in a science-fiction context, as well as through cartes blanches given to five curators. Pierre Bal-Blanc, Claire Le Restif, Alexis Vaillant, Jens Hoffmann, and Christiane Rekade have thus proposed their personal view of the collection, as if they were presenting an exhibition on paper.
