The story:

When Colin the oak tree wakes up to find Grubber delighting himself over scattered acorns, the racoon slams his supposedly distasteful snack. Colin's heart begins to sink with self-doubts. Trying to find solace, he eventually discovers a powerful source of confidence deep within his heart!

Acerca de los autores

Born in Belgium and residing permantly in Quebec since 2000, Michele Rappe is, among other things, a professional visual artist. But words have taken the creative lead for the past few years: novellas, stories for children, theater, poetry... It is her passion for writing and her sensitivity that come alive in her texts. She offers writing accompaniment as a public writer.

Patrick Arguin is an educator and proud co-creator of Tools of the Heart... Where he combines three passions; illustrating, communicating and helping little ones blossom into their own! Originally developed in French with the help of two heart-minded collaborators, later to be translated in English, Tools of the Heart aims to help young children learn self-care and develop or maintain a stronger sense of self through its books and guided meditations. Patrick resides in Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada, where he continues to develop Tools of the Heart and its different projects, which include teaching meditation to children and teenagers. He also works as a Reiki Master and counsellor.

Teacher, life coach, personal growth facilitator and Reiki Master, Helene Beaudette offers private counselling and workshops aimed at nurturing one's well-being. Reiki Master and member of the Reiki Alliance (international community of masters), she teaches and forms future masters. She's been offering her services since 1998, true to her unwavering humanism and compassion.
