Sinopsis

The love between them was strong, but was it strong enough for her to follow him to far away Arizona? His posting in Arizona was in the middle of the Apache country, but for him, it was just what he wanted. It was too much for Sophie, just as Washington was too much for him, but somehow their love flourished.
He was instrumental in getting a large group of Apache to accept a peace and move to a reservation and through the years he not only learned their language but also learned to respect them. There were still wild renegades who needed to be captured, and one of them had vowed to take his life.
