Sinopsis

Medicare Wars Pamphlet – Part D Drug Coverage Pamphlet number 4, on the Part D Drug Coverage was the hardest and most complicated to write. It took the authors an entire month longer to research and compile than previous pamphlets:

  • Medicare Wars Pamphlet 1 A Radical New Approach
  • Medicare Wars Pamphlet 2 Parts A and B
  • Medicare Wars Pamphlet 3 Medicare Advantage
    • We knew preparing our readers to wade into the Medicare battle would be sort of like boot camp preparing for war. Even if you ARE paying close attention and reading these pamphlets we guarantee you will not have a complete understanding of Part D. BUT the authors do guarantee that you will understand:
      • How to enroll
      • How the star ratiings work
      • How a drug list (formulary) is created
      • What the Enrollee will pay out of pocket for their drug costs
        • Part D is a private health insurance product operated by large regional and/or nationwide corporations while being promoted and regulated by the Federal government. Now that the reader has made it through “Medicare Boot Camp” it is time to wage war in pamphlet 5. Join us! Learn, Fight and Win.

Acerca del autor

WHO WE ARE Charlie (Charlene) Brash-Sorensen Twenty-six years in management and executive positions in the Medicare and Medicaid health insurance industry is a LONG time. It takes a toll personally and physically. It takes a few years to totally drop the stress and move on. In my particular case shedding my career persona—Director of Strategic Planning, Director of Operations, Associate Executive Director, Vice President of Network Development, Vice President of Operations, Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Consultant—has taken 4 years. I NEVER imagined being compelled by a sense of justice, compassion for others, and outrage to pick up once more the mantle of “Medicare expert”. Peggy Bechko As we get older, probably for the first time our attention turns to things like Medicare and retirement. It would be better if we paid attention when you’re younger, but well, there you are. All of this means an incredible learning curve just about the time you think you’re about done with all that and can relax a bit. I mean there’s so much else you want to learn about so who has room to cram all this junk into our brains? The relaxing part was true for my grandparents, but not for us. Things were pretty straight-forward for them, but politics over the decades has created a monster called Medicare with all its parts and subparts. It truly is enough to make you want to throw your hands up and give up. But wait, I can’t do that, and neither can you. We have to take care of ourselves despite the apparent desire of our own government to do us in. So now it’s our combined goal to help you with short books in bite-size pieces that will clear things up for you. Or at least filter out a bit of the silt. Now I’ve been a professional writer for most of my life (fiction, non-fiction articles and screen scripts - you can see a publications list at the end of this pamphlet if you care to look). Charlene spent most of her career working with these ridiculous plans, the various parts, and government regulations (which believe me if they weren’t there we’d really be up a creek!) of the Medicare plans.
