Written to produce the missing complete guide that covers the wide spectrum of project management—from predictive to agile methods, and bridging fundamentals with real-world practice—Project Management: A Complete Introduction is the comprehensive reference that simplifies project management for learners ranging from students with zero prior knowledge to experienced professionals seeking to enhance their skills. Written by a best-selling author who has played a pivotal role in leading numerous projects with budgets ranging from $100M to $500M worldwide and has educated tens of thousands of professionals, this complete guide enables readers to understand the logic and reasoning behind even the most challenging project management concepts in order to effectively apply this knowledge to real-life projects. Aligned with the PMBOK® Guide – Eighth Edition, this book is also an ideal resource for PMP® and CAPM® aspirants.
What makes this study guide truly complete is its comprehensive coverage of all project management models, methods, and artifacts defined in the PMBOK® Guide – Eighth Edition. The book brings together the full spectrum of approaches—from traditional predictive models to agile and hybrid methods—and clearly explains how the associated artifacts are created, used, and adapted in real-world projects.
Most people who have experience with the predictive approach do not have any experience with the agile approach and vice versa. For this reason, this book describes both approaches in great detail, step by step, assuming you have zero knowledge of any of them.
Whether your goal is to build a strong foundation or advance your professional practice, this book is meant to be your complete introduction to modern project management—clear, practical, and grounded in real-world application.
