Mine had some extremely rare twists and turns that left me at death’s door fighting for life, and yet gave me some amazing insights which I felt compelled to share in print. As a long-time minister, I have spoken at more memorials than I can remember of those who lost their battle, my father being one of them. I have sat at the bedsides of those suffering in all stages of their illness, watching some draw their last breath. But I have seen many emerge on the other side with a smile on their faces, a result of a “cancer free” diagnosis. This is where I am right now, but there are no guarantees for what lies ahead. But as a good doctor friend of mine once said, “I know I am going to die, but not today!” All we have is today, and I want to help you live it with hope in your heart no matter what your present challenges are. To that end I wrote this book. May God speak to your heart as you read it!
