Themes include birth, death, immigration, love, and loneliness as experienced by of those living in the underpopulated parts of the United States.

Acerca de los autores

Editor Erika T. Wurth's novel White Horse is a New York Times editors' pick, a Good Morning America Buzz Pick, an Indie Next List Pick, and Target Book of the Month. She is both a Kenyon and Sewanee fellow, and Kenyon faculty. She's published in Buzzfeed, The Writer's Chronicle, and is a narrative artist for the Meow Wolf Denver installation. She is an urban Native of Apache/Chickasaw/Cherokee descent. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman for books and Dana Spector for film. She's a professor of creative writing at Western Illinois University and lives in Denver with her partner, step-kids, and two incredibly fluffy dogs. Her forthcoming novel is The Haunting of Room 904.

Series editor Keith Lesmeister is the author of We Could've Been Happy Here and Mississippi River Museum. A founding editor of Cutleaf, he received his MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars. He currently lives and teaches in the Driftless region.
