The compiler of this collection, Emily Jane Lemole, holds a BA in English Literature and was awarded a Master of Arts in Religious Studies. She is ordained both as an Interfaith and Swedenborgian Minister. Starlight II is a gathering of special quotations, prayers, and poems chosen for the journey from loss and grief to acceptance and peace. Emily Jane wrote in her introduction, "these gems reflect and inspire our spiritual journey... I think of them as stars-points of light 'pouring down on us the calm light of their bright and faithful being, up to which we look and out of which we gather the deepest calm and courage' (Philips Brooks)."
