Get in the Go was written to inspire you to look at historical events and prepare the Church for the next new wave of evangelism. The Pentecostal occurrences chronicled throughout these pages are intended to inspire and motivate you for a move of God through the Church. Intentional evangelism, training and small groups are the keys to seeing people’s lives changed and souls saved today.The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit dispenses special gifts today. According to 1 Corinthians 12:11, He bestows them sovereignly; He alone decides the recipients. If He chooses to give us a special gift, He will do so despite whether we expect it or seek it. According to Ephesians 5:15, we are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is a present imperative, suggesting ongoing action.According to Ervin, final use of the phrase, “filled with the Spirit” is found in Ephesians 5:18, which says, “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit.” In this text the word for “be filled” means continuous or repeated action. When the Azusa meetings were at their high point, the move of Holy Spirit was phenomenal. The Holy Spirit bestowed the gifts upon many of those who attended. These people who were filled with the Spirit were not Seymour’s own accomplishments but were to be used in the fulfillment of God’s plan. God dispenses His gifts to the Church wisely and sovereignly. The Church forms from within Christ, and the Holy Spirit regenerates the members of the Body. The Spirit’s work helps to organize people with Himself as the living center. The head and the body are therefore one. James Dunn, author of Baptism in the Holy Spirit, focuses on the concept of one body and one Spirit. He states: “We can say that Pentecost is the beginning of the Church and the coming into existence of the Church as the Body of Christ.” Dunn says there were no “Christians” before Pentecost. However, the disciples were closely identified with Jesus until their first recognition in Acts 11:26 when they were first called Christians in Antioch. The Pentecostal interpretation of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is that it occurs after conversion and the “new birth”—salvation. Dunn imposes Luke’s view of the Holy Spirit upon John, who does not speak of this. Luke does not speak of the Gift of the Spirit in association with the new birth. Dunn denies that the disciples were born again at the time of the resurrection and argues that this is not Luke’s view. The Holy Spirit had a mission that first started out in Jesus’ disciples. There is still certain hope because of the living Christ, who dwells within us as our personal “hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). Pentecost and tongues of fire have been prominent occurrences in the history of the Church. The Book of Acts is the first book of Church history. It gives us the highlights in the story of Christianity during AD 30-60, the first generation. It is an important document because the spread of Christianity has been the most significant movement in the last two thousand years. The beginning of the Church at Pentecost expounded upon Jesus promise. The Holy Spirit had been with them (par’humin) while Jesus was on earth. After Jesus was resurrected, the Holy Spirit would be in them (en humin), Par’ humin and en human are Greek references. While Pentecost took place, thousands were attracted to Jesus. The Holy Spirit marked a new era. The church grew vastly in Judea, Samaria and the other parts of the world. Gentiles even received salvation and nothing could stop the moving of the Spirit. It was the Azusa outpouring of 1906 that has made the spread of Christianity a second part of the greatest manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s, “Pentecostal influence” that History has known.The effective agent in the accomplishment of God’s purpose in the epoch of preparation through the prophets, the epoch of Jesus’ ministry, and the epoch of the Church’s mission, is the Holy Spirit.

Dr. Gwyneth Williams is a mother, author, blogger, international evangelist, and business consultant. She is the daughter of Bishop Otis G. Clark. She is the mother of one daughter, Star Williams, who is Miss Global Ambassador, a Miss Oklahoma USA and top ten in the Miss USA Pageant. Williams earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree in 1996, and a Master of Divinity in 1989, both from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her professional experience is vast. She is co-founder, along with Bishop Otis Clark, of Life Enrichment Ministries Azusa with a Holiness Mission. She has been the Chief Executive Officer of Life Enrichment Inc. since 1986. Dr. Gwyneth’s work experience encompasses major positions pertaining to education, consulting, pastoring and leadership. Her administrative and leadership skills consist of overseeing the organization’s missions, publishing, seminars, training, financial and budget development. She's written numerous grants proposals, polity charts, business plans, evaluations, and organizational assessments. She held the title of Field Education and Intern Program supervisor where she trained numerous graduate and undergraduate students in the school of business, education, and theology. She's trained workers for thirty-two years in the Life Enrichment Missions Training program for overseas internships throughout dozens of nations. She's had the responsibility of educating many students who received training and certification in theology and missions. Training included cultural sensitivity; foreign relations; historical, theological, and practical training; such as training nationals in music, home economics, nursing and hygiene, counseling, communication, drama, adult and youth ministry, and carpentry. She was a pastor for seven years in Seattle, Washington ministering to the homeless and down and out. She is a dynamic pastor, apostle, preacher and evangelist. The ministry has ordained and trained over 300 pastors and ministers under Life Enrichment Ministerial Association. Additionally, she lived in England while studying the culture, writing curriculum, and researching for a faith-based ministry. She's authored seven books. Her heart is to see the Power of the Holy Spirit unleashed within the Body of Christ with Signs, wonders, and miracles following; and minister, pastors, and leaders released in their calling as they walk in the Fullness of God.
