Hello, I'm Lyssa deHart. I spent twenty years as a clinical social worker specializing in relationship therapy, complex trauma, PTSD, and dissociative disorders. After closing my private practice in New Mexico and relocating to the Pacific Northwest in 2013, I fully embraced coaching.I achieved my MCC certification in 2018 and have been dedicated to this path ever since. I am the host the Coaching Studio podcast and am a leadership and confidence coach, certified mentor coach, coaching SUPERVision partner, ICF PCC assessor, and a well-regarded coaching educator. I authored StoryJacking: Change Your Dialogue, Transform Your Life and the Reflective Coach. My latest work, Light Up: The Science of Coaching with Metaphors, reflects my deep commitment to enhancing coaching practices, emphasizing partnership, client agency, and the mastery of coaching skills. My work with metaphors culminated in the innovative Power of Metaphor Certification Program, aimed at sharpening coaches' listening skills and using the power of metaphors to foster strong agreements, build deep trust, unleash potential, and enhance awareness-key elements of lasting transformation. I offer this certification to both coaches and therapists, drawing directly from the teachings of the Level 1 Certification program.
