As a young adult, he resided in Kansas and then moved to Indiana with his wife and five children. One of the greatest pleasures was telling these interactive Ferdie the Fly stories to the children, grandchildren, and many other children who flapped their arms and went with Ferdie on his many adventures. The stories were compiled and illustrated by his daughter, Rachel, in memory of a great father, an engaging storyteller, and a man who brought a smile to many a child’s face.
