The Tenant chronicles a harrowing, fascinating descent into madness as the pathologi-cally alienated Trelkovsky is subsumed into Simone Choule, an enigmatic suicide whose presence saturates his new apartment. More than a tale of possession, the novel probes disturbing depths of guilt, paranoia, and sexual obsession with an unsparing detachment.

Roland Topor Ilustrador. A highly collectible Millipede Press edition of The Tenant by Roland Topor, a landmark work of surrealist psychological horror in the tradition of Franz Kafka. This sought-after 2006 edition features an introduction by Thomas Ligotti, along with four long out-of-print related short stories by Topor and a selection of his own artwork - an ideal convergence of text and visual imagination. This edition also includes fully reset text and is produced with a sewn binding, reflecting the high production standards associated with Millipede Press. Originally published in 1964 and later adapted into Roman Polanski's cult film, The Tenant remains one of the most disturbing and intellectually provocative explorations of identity, paranoia, and existential collapse in modern literature. Centipede Press editions are known for their quality and limited distribution, and this softcover issue has become increasingly scarce in collectible condition. Condition : Book is in Very Good condition: clean, crisp pages with minimal signs of handling. Binding is tight and square, with no loose pages. Covers show light shelf wear: minor rubbing and a few faint surface marks, but no major creases or damage. Overall very well-presented. Nº de ref. del artículo: 93

paperback. Condición: Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.
