Acerca del autor
Patrick Ward Gainer (1904-1981) was Professor Emeritus of English at West Virginia University, USA and renowned as a collector of folklore, musician, educator, and founder of the West Virginia Folk Festival at Glenville.

Based on material Gainer collected from over fifty years of field research in West Virginia and the region, Witches, Ghosts, and Signs presents the rich heritage of the southern Appalachians in a way that has never been equaled.
