Not A Hope In Hel (Winterbourne) - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

Being Death should come with a few advantages. Davis Mareth is beginning to wonder what they are.
Five years after taking the night shift at Winterbourne Home, Davis has inherited a job no one could prepare him for: Grim Reaper. He helps the newly dead move on, tries to keep the home running and shares his life with Jenn Henderson—a woman who has been dead longer than he has been alive.
But the office of Death has a problem. The Necrosites, the vicious little creatures who do its dirtiest work, are tired of taking orders. A self-styled revolutionary called the Soulreaver is stirring up old grievances, and a rebellion threatens to turn Winterbourne Home into a battlefield.
As the trouble grows, Davis finds himself facing a frozen wasteland where even the most incredible power in the universe may not be enough to save him—or the people he loves. To find a way home, he must navigate the difference between Hell and Hel before Winterbourne goes up in flames.
Grotesque, irreverent and unexpectedly heartfelt, Not a Hope in Hel blends supernatural peril, afterlife bureaucracy and a revolution with more teeth than good sense.
Return to the world of Winterbourne in S. A. Baker’s third instalment: a darkly comic fantasy where Death is overworked, the staff are revolting and the end is never quite the end.
