Fourteen centuries ago, on the hot desert sands of Karbala, Iraq, a small group of men, women, and children spend the night in prayer. Their enemies have denied them even water.
In the morning, the men will be slaughtered and their heads raised on spears. The women will be taken captive, hands chained to their necks. The children will be tormented, many will not make it.
What is their crime? Their grandfather is the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
This book presents the heart wrenching retelling of the day that is like no other.
