Sinopsis

He's a heart-weary writer. She's a cutthroat headhuntress. When their lips touch, will their affections survive a global pandemic?

Beautiful, ambitious, and worldly, Lin is a headhunter who finds talent from all over the world to fill top executive positions. At thirty-five, she is satisfied with her career but wonders if she’ll ever marry or have children.

Colin, a forty-two-year-old green-eyed Englishman with a quietly confident smile, creates the stories that bring video games to life. A professional connection turns personal, and the two fall in love as a Beijing spring comes into bloom.

Meanwhile, a new virus initially seems less dangerous than the flu, but spreads with deadly speed. Will the stringent safety protocols keep Lin and Colin apart?

This is the story of two people who find themselves powerfully drawn together despite the vast differences in their cultural backgrounds. It’s an up-close look at modern life in Beijing against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic. Finally, it’s an exploration of the mysterious forces that create romance when we least expect it.

That Spring In Beijing is a touching and hopeful contemporary love story. If you like soulful characters, stirring drama, and meaningful bonds in our modern era, then you’ll adore Paul C. R. Monk’s moving story of love in a forbidden city.
