Sinopsis

A humorous tale for children, with characterful illustrations. The story revolves around the small world of a humble garden snail who has the most extraordinary thing happen to him!Norm couldn't have guessed that one day he would turn into a monstrous, whacking great beast - he thought he was ordinary! His mum had no idea either. Worse still, the beast seemed uncontrollable and bent on mischief and destruction. How will he manage these transformations?Another event he did not think possible was meeting the (rather unconventional) girl of his dreams. They will both need to overcome obstacles - both mental and physical. The narrative touches lightly on social themes to do with being an outcast. Essentially, however, this is a chapter book that will be an enormously fun read for any child (or grown-up). Move over Incredible Hulk - there is a new dual personality on the block! Read the book to find out more about this incredible secret… if you dare!

Acerca del autor

Heather Ogden lives with her family, a wife and mother of two boys, in the east of England. She makes animations with children at her local school. In her college years, she spent a year practically living in a library (occasionally she went to college). Her story writing took off when she moved to a different college and learnt how to touch type on the computer. So much easier than using a pen and paper. She spent her break times at that college writing humorous short stories, but was not sure anybody would actually want to read them. They were a bit wacky. Although her friend liked them, that was not enough to persuade her to do it as a career. As she had always been talented at art and design, she went on to university where she collected a BA degree in Graphic Design (with an animation specialism). It wasn't until later in her life, when she had kids of her own, that she thought about becoming an author again. Reading books with them made her want to write her own children's fiction. In addition, she can bring stories to life with her own illustrations. Double the fun- I mean hard work!
