Previously published as "How Did I Get These?", "True To My Roots" is the story of how I needed to explore my past in order to heal my present. As a result of many light bulb moments and studying with inspiring teachers, I began to understand that my body had been crying out for my love and attention. My hope is that my story of healing inspires you to embark on your own journey of healing and releasing the past. It's time to be true to your roots, so you can enjoy the health and well-being you deserve.

Nadia Smith was born in Yorkshire, England in 1952. Together with her parents she travelled to three continents before reaching the age of seven. Her schooling was very fragmented, from Belgium, to Kenya and Pakistan and further education in UK. Nadia learned mainly through observation and has learned to adapt to various types of environment and people with ease. She has an adult son with Cerebral Palsy to whom she remains a dedicated therapist, mum and friend. Throughout his life she maintains that he is her teacher. Nadia is a retired Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer who taught all over the world from 1980, for seventeen years, until her hips developed osteoarthritis. She then became a Movement, Energy and Spiritual Visionary who helps others find their internal body's wisdom and powers, to heal from inside out. She is the founder of True To Our Roots spontaneous Qi Gong. She runs her clinic and workshops where she lives with her husband and three dogs, on the edge of the Forest of Dean.
