Sinopsis

This title aims to support practitioners and child care professionals to achieve an outstanding and creative environment using teaching ideas and activities that are simple and easy to replicate. It is specifically designed for those working in settings with children aged 3-5 and contains detailed photographs of investigation activities, small world scenes, fine motor activities and much more, each accompanied by short captions explaining how achievable it is to take the provision to the next level by utilising everyday resources and getting inside the mind of a child! Highly practical, the book does not simply tell you how to create outstanding continuous provision but shows how to do it. Each chapter includes a list of resources needed, a challenge section with ideas on how to extend the provision, feedback from children, links to the current Early Years Framework and key questions for practitioners to ask themselves about each activity, to enable them to reflect on the needs of the child across all 7 areas of learning. It is also an excellent guide for students taking their PGCE course or any early years child care course.
