Sinopsis

A Capful of wind, AKA "Useless Information for Aspiring Skippers" charts the author's progress from her first dubious adventures in a leaky tub to Coastal 1 examination. Despite everything that the elements and even fellow seafarers throw at her, Monica Matterson wittily recalls a wealth of fascinating and usually hilarious tales of misadventure on, in and sometimes under the sea - including pubs that vanish by dawn, how stolen planks from a building site save the day in a storm and much 'mud shuffling'. The book includes over 60 original paintings and drawings by the author that bring the cleverly observed humour throughout this nautical autobiography to life.
