Michelle Evans lives in West Sussex with her husband and their two cats. She moved to the area after completing her English based degree in Sheffield. She herself has suffered from bi-polar affective disorder for some years. "Am I me?" is written out of her personal struggle with the disorder and shows how she has found help through both the medical profession and the support of family and friends. She has written the book to show and encourage bi-polar sufferers and their family and friends that, given time and the correct medication, there is light at the end of the very dark tunnel.
