AKES, BUT NO PAINS
This came into my head, lying in bed one night!

As a treat for you, I’d like to make
A very special birthday cake.
So first of all, some flour I’ll take,
And, next, some nice fresh eggs I’ll brake (!)
Then into the bowl, some sugar I’ll shake,
And in the oven it will bake.
When cooled, this lovely, soft sponge cake,
Iced and sprinkled with chocolate flake,
That I’ve created, for your sake,
Will thrill your guests, make no mistake.
