This echoes the dream-like world explored in Milroy's recent work, wherein the artist created a contrived landscape in the gallery, surrounding visitors with large-scale canvases depicting images of an ornamental garden. The rolling lawns, ornamental lake, island and bridge, and trees full of pink blossom represented in the paintings allude to the five senses, a theme that is explored in depth in this publication's introductory essay.
